Chocolate Cupcake Tower - Music

This gorgeous chocolate cupcake tower was one of two for a lovely, lovely customer. She ordered one for her husband's birthday, and one for her brother's birthday, both to be cut at their end of summer party at their lovely home in Stanmore, London.

The top cake is a 6" square decorated with a handmade 'mrdanga'. A 'mrdanga' is a drum instrument from India which is commonly used to play 'kirtan' or 'spiritual music' (see close up below). The theme really came to life with the musical notes and golden lotuses on the cupcakes. This was one of our 'clever cakes', with an eggless chocolate sponge filled and topped with the luxurious but not-to-sweet chocolate ganache buttercream... hhmmm.... totally yummo!

So, check out the pictures below....

And here's a snippet of what they said after their gorgeous party...

"Svarna was commissioned to make the cakes for our "Last day of summer party" at our home... My guests were overwhelmed by the presentation and the taste of the cakes was out of this world. My wife is very particular about whom she asks to cater for our parties. We were at Svarna's and Rishi's wedding at the The Grove this year, we are impressed by the attention to detail which went into their wedding and we knew Svarna had that unique sense of style and spirituality that we liked. This is reflected in the way she approaches her cake making. The photos only partially do justice to this piece of artistry and taste"
